Stormy Weather

WTNH (Channel 8) and WVIT (NBC 30) will announce closings of Clelian Center in the event of inclement weather. Please make certain that we have the most recent phone numbers with which to reach you.

Personal Belongings

Please remember to label all outerwear and sweaters. We cannot be responsible for items that are lost or go home with the wrong person. Also, any treasured jewelry items should be left at home or replaced with costume jewelry.

Cancelling Rides

Families using My Ride Van: please remember to cancel van ride when rider is unable to keep scheduled ride for any reason, as well as to contact the Center.

Support Group

CADC offers a monthly support group for caregivers on the 4th Thursday of every month. Do yourself a favor and attend. All are welcome. Any questions, please call 203-288-4151.

United Way

If you give to the United Way, either at work or at home, you can designate your donation to come to Clelian Center. Please sign up at your place of business. Our agency code number is N5828. Many thanks.

         YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! PLEASE JOIN US!

Clelian Adult Day Center sponsors a monthly support group for those taking care of a loved one or family member. The next support group will be held on Thursday, February 23th, 2011.

All support group meetings will be held at the Clelian Adult Day Center, 261 Benham Street, Hamden from 7:00-8:30 p.m.  For more information, or directions, please call Sr. Cecelia at 203-288-4151. All are welcome to attend. 


If you would prefer a daytime support group here are some options:

Arden Courts on Leeder Hill Drive holds a support group on the third Thursday of the month at 12 noon. A light lunch is also provided. RSVP (203)281-5700

Coachman Square at Woodbridge meets the first Wednesday of the month at 12 noon and also provides lunch. RSVP (203)397-7544.

Eldercare Resources Center of VNA Community Health Care meets the first Monday of the month from 10:30am–12p.m. They are located at 2 Broadway in North Haven. RSVP (203)985-1549

“Inspirations for Caregivers”~ One of our caregivers has discovered a publication written by a caregiver that should be very helpful to you on this journey. Google Frank Broyles-Alzheimers Caregiver Play Book. You can print the book off of the computer. You don’t need to buy it. Try it!!
