February Message:

The month of February is upon us again. We are hopefully a third of the way through winter and ought to be thankful for the mild winter it has been thus far. On February 22nd we begin the liturgical season of Lent. The word Lent means spring. Lent is a time when we prepare for the great Feast of Easter, the Resurrection of Our Lord. In Lent we are challenged with the mission of starting anew in our relationship with Jesus. Traditionally, Lenten preparation consists of prayer, fasting and almsgiving. At the Clelian Center, during the Season of Lent, we will have a series of different speakers who will help us to focus on the deeper reality of Lent; our relationship with Jesus. We are planning to end our preparation with a Passion Play, called "The Man on a Donkey" presented by our clients with the help of our staff. May this Lenten Season be spiritually enriching to each and every one of you.

Support Group for Wives:

The Clelian Center is looking to form a daytime support group for wives. If you are interested in attending or have any questions about the group, please contact Sr. Cecelia Marie via email at cscaduto@ascjus.org or telephone the Center at 203-288-4151.

Our Mission

In the spirit of Mother Clelia Merloni, Foundress of the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the staff and volunteers of Clelian Center seek to meet the spiritual, psychological, social and medical needs of adults in a loving and caring environment. The primary mission is to preserve a feeling of self-worth and dignity in each person especially those who need special care. The therapeutic inter- generational program is designed to enhance the quality of life of each of its participants; the Center staff strives to promote daily interaction between children and adults. Clelian Center is a place where every person, young or old, is valued as a unique individual.
